André-Nicolas Chené is an astronomer from Québec, Canada. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the Université de Montréal. He was Research Assistant at the Herzberg Institute for Astrophysics (now HAA) of the National Research Council of Canada, in Victoria. He was a joint postdoc at the Universidad de Concepción and the Universidad de Valparaíso.
André-Nicolas Chené joined Gemini in 2013 under operation. He participated in the creation of the Gemini’s Science User Support department. After the Gemini Observatory moved under the NSF NOIRLab, André-Nicolas joined the US-ELT Program before getting the role of Head of Scientific Staff for Observatory Support.
