I am a Scientist at the International Gemini Observatory/NSF NOIRLab, based in Hilo, Hawai’i. I currently serve as the Project Scientist for the next-generation Gemini-North Adaptive Optics (GNAO) facility and the Instrument Scientist for the Gemini-North Multi-Object Spectrograph (GMOS-N).
I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Cologne (Germany) in 2005 and held postdoctoral positions as an ESO Fellow at ESO Chile and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian National University and the Observatoire de Paris before I joined Gemini Observatory in 2016.
My research interests include spatially-resolved studies of galactic nuclei, primarily using integral field spectroscopy and adaptive-optics-assisted observations.
